Jet with 88 passengers evacuated for bomb hoax Philadelphia Airport

Philadelphia, PA: A bomb threat that proved to be a hoax prompted police to evacuate a U.S. Airlines jet Monday morning after the flight from San Diego arrived at Philadelphia International Airport.
After the threat was called in to the Transportation Safety Administration, the plane was taken to a remote runway at the airport as a precaution around 6:30 a.m.
The 88 passengers and five crew members were taken off the plane and placed on buses for the trip to the terminal while police officers and dogs searched the aircraft. They sounded the all clear after finding nothing.
Making a threat against an airliner is a federal offense, and the FBI and Homeland Security are investigating along with the police.
